Migui Mandalasol aka Miguel Roberto Romero, Arte de acción.
Migui Mandalasol: Performer, choreographer and teacher.
Born in Spain, resident in Barcelona since 2005.
Centers his work on the search of new forms and scenic concepts,
combining Butoh Dance with Juggling technique and object manipulation.
He began at the age of 16 as juggler, and after a few years he got
an employment in the Spain Mura (Japan), since then he has continued
working and experimenting in different artistic projects and
collaborating with different experimental artists, combining even more
juggling with dance and later with Butoh dance. Now he works beginning
from Butoh dance and using objects in his performances.
He
is founder member of the Artistic Association Synesthesia, that
promotes the “Sintesis” Project, a social-artistic project that has been
realized in Croatia in 2008, in India in 2010 and in Mexico in 2012.
Recently collaborated with the Butoh Company “Poema Theatre” (St.
Petersburg) in the proyect “Butoh Channel” teaching workshops “The Body
Utopia” and doing a creation “MEDIAMOON” presented in Black Box Theatre
(St. Petersburg) and Open Stage Theatre in (Moscow) 2012.
He
has participated with his performances “History of the Caged Bird”,
“Mikado” and “TACTO” in festivals in Spain, Venezuela, Ireland,
Colombia, Mexico, France, Croatia, Italy and India.
He has practiced Butoh with Master as:
Yumiko Yoshioka, Yumi Fujitani, Karlotta Ikeda, Itto Morita, Akaji Maro, Imre Thormann y Juschka Weigel.
